Life Groups

Life Groups are MVBC's way of helping people connect relationally and grow spiritually by moving from rows in church to circles in homes. They are small groups of people (usually 12-16) who get together regularly to study some aspect of the Bible, while also getting to know each other.

Starting this September, we have a new Biblical Life Strategies group just for men. This group will be based around grace-based teaching and practical application and will be led by MVBC member Mark Spencer. Meeting time is 7 - 8 a.m. on Thursday mornings with coffee, bagels and donuts provided. Mending the Soul (Women)

This fall we are offering a Mending the Soul (MTS) group for women. MTS groups are smaller than Life Groups (approximately 6-8 women), and are designed to provide support and help to those recovering from their experiences of abuse (whether sexual, physical, verbal, spiritual, or neglect and abandonment) or other relational challenges. The MTS group provides a safe and supportive environment for women to process the effects of past or current abuse. Due to the sensitive nature of MTS groups, a simple application and screening process is required.

You can visit the Mending the Soul website for more detailed information about these groups or contact group leader Cathy Kerrey with any questions.
